VPN for Costa Rica
There is no VolnaLink server of our own in Costa Rica yet. This isn't a 'never going to happen': the location is in the queue. When the node comes up, it will appear in the same app, with no new subscription.
VPN server in Costa Rica coming soon
There is no dedicated server in Costa Rica yet. When it appears, a new entry will show up in the app's list — nothing needs to be reinstalled. You can buy VPN in advance on the pricing page.
VPN server in Costa Rica — neighboring countries for now
The nearest locations that already work: Brazil, USA and Chile. The ping will be higher than with a local IP, but websites, messengers and work services open fine.
How to download VPN and connect
You install the app on your computer or phone, or the browser extension, sign in to your account and choose Brazil. The first 8 hours are free, no card needed. Once a server in Costa Rica appears, it will be in the same country list.
Why you need a Costa Rica IP
A Costa Rica IP is needed by websites and services that look at the country you connect from: banks, government portals, local stores, region-based content. Until there is an address of your own — use a neighboring country. A separate plan for Costa Rica is not required.
One subscription for all devices
One subscription covers Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS and the Chrome, Firefox, Edge extension. When a server in Costa Rica opens, it is available on all these clients at once.
VPN for Costa Rica websites and services
Until there is a local server, the nearest country from the list above is enough for Costa Rica websites. For Discord, games and system traffic the desktop app is better, for tabs — the extension.
When VPN in Costa Rica will appear
The country is on the network expansion roadmap. We don't set an exact date. This page will stay: as soon as the server goes live, there will be up-to-date text here, and a new country in the app.
